Abtenau and surrounding area
In summer, enjoy the fresh scent of the meadows, which start right behind the building; in winter, take a romantic walk on a snow-covered mountainside.
If it is sports you are into, the options are endless: adventure sports on land, water or in the air, in a fabulous setting, available year-round.
There is also a broad range of cultural activities in the surrounding region: Easter and Whitsun festivals, the world-famous Salzburg Festival, the Salzburg Autumn Jazz Festival and a wide range of theatres, cinemas and museums. Salzburg is an enticing prospect, and not just when it is raining.
The area has a lot to offer gastronomically too: hearty mountain breakfasts or après ski, organic farm delicacies or simple culinary pleasures at one of the restaurants on the market square in town.
